Meet Elon Musk's Kids, Ex-Wives & Current Partner
We all know Pink as the fierce pop star with earth-shattering vocals. The larger than life singer is not only the coolest public figure, she's a rockstar mother to Willow, 9, and Jameson, 3. With her fun-loving attitude and transparency, she inspires us all to march to the beat of our own drums and it's no different with her mommy style. Check out her rockstar parenting!
It's not a surprise that Pink's kids would be fascinated by motor crossing since their dad is a Motorcross professional. So for the Harts, family outings include fun days motoring and we can't get enough of this cool bonding tool. Pink's husband Carey Hart shared some moments from their fun time.
He captioned the post: “Fun day motoring with the family! Willz second day on her 65 and she is doing great! Mama jumped on her 250 and spun some laps while Jamo and I chased on the quad. My kind of Saturday ????. @foxmoto.”
One of the videos features mom and daughter riding the motorbikes as dad captured the moment. According to Pink, her kids are little daredevils, in a time when most kids like to play tennis and football, or surf on the internet, this is certainly different from the usual experience.
Mom's have a lot on their plate so every now and again, they might slide in the iPad to distract their kids for a few minutes if they need a break. Not many celebrity mothers would be as honest about it as Pink and it's a part of her amazing parenting charms.
The singer jokingly captioned a picture of her giving her daughter Willow an iPad in exchange for a nap. "Babe, Mamas just gonna take a quick nap here while this iPad babysits you."
In a 2017 interview, Pink shared that she's raising her children without labels. While most people refer to it as gender-neutral, the singer prefers to stay away from that terminology as well. The singer shared that she feels the term is a label in itself and she believes that labels do not define people, rather it is up to the individual to define themselves.
"So I have boys that flip dirt bags and I have boyfriends that wear dresses," she said. "It's all OK with me. It's whatever floats your boat. So that's the kind of house that we live in." Go Pink! The performer also shared her concerns for her children with regards to the kind of world and how her children will experience it.
The star is very passionate about raising her kids. For her, it is all or nothing, in fact, Pink shared:
"I don't know if the world's going to be fine, and so I pray a lot. I cry a lot. I talk to them a lot. I hope a lot. I curse a lot."
During her acceptance speech at the VMAs for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, the artist shared a story about when she was driving her daughter to school. Willow said she felt like the ugliest girl she knows and not having long hair makes her look like a boy. Pink was ready with a great response.
"'When people make fun of me… Do you see me growing my hair? 'No, mama.' Do you see me changing my body? 'No mama.' Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world? 'Yes, mama.'" So, baby, girl. We don't change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl."
In 2019, Pink gathered her family for her Beautiful Trauma world tour. Pink and Carey frequently posted behind the scenes pictures of their kids on the tour. We've got to say, how awesome is it to have a Pink tour as a part of your childhood?! Also, they get to travel all over the world and become little tourists wherever they go.
Pink wants to be as involved as possible in her kids' lives despite how hectic things get. "If I had nannies raising my kids and just wanted to be a rock star and party all the time, I wouldn’t be successful and I wouldn’t be happy," she said. At the time, it was Willow's first time leaving school but Pink involved her in the decision.
The artist shared that whenever her kids no longer want to go on tour with her, she'll be happy to let them go back to a normal life. Pink says they are her number one priority. And it seems that moment finally came. During the last few months of the tour, Willow wanted to go home and join her swim team and gymnastics.
So Pink decided that a change needed to happen. That's when she started considering a residency in Las Vegas. It would definitely help keep her family in one place while she performs for her fans.
The singer says there's no formula to parenthood and the catch is that you're never quite sure if you're doing the right thing. So, she's taking it day by day. The 41-year-old revealed that affection is her secret weapon and she makes sure that her kids know that she'll always be there for them.
"My parents obviously did not believe in that and I worked out OK. I always tell Willow ‘I’m going to teach you the rules so that you’ll know how and when to break them'," she shared. Pink sounds like a pretty cool mom, right?
Being a parent doesn't always have to be so serious. Take a page out of Pink's book and play a prank on the little ones every now and again. In an Instagram post, the singer shared how she trolled her daughter: "I told Willow I was turning into Shrek. She actually believed me and got super worried and told me to stop it before it was too late. Parenting is fun."
Pink has always inspired us to live our lives unapologetically and she's no different when it comes to her parenting. She's become a fierce advocate for mothers breastfeeding in public if they want to. The performer says it's a natural way of life and no one should be shunned for doing it.
During a 2012 interview, she revealed that an onlooker gave her a look of disgust while she was breastfeeding in public. It's also been reported that Pink nursed her child during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. While the internet is divided on this matter, we just admire Pink's fearless mothering.
Many celebs aren't big fans of bringing their kids to red carpet events but Pink jumps at the opportunity. Willow has been at the VMAs with her parents; they wore the best matching outfits. Willow has also attended the Country Music Awards and the Grammy Awards with her superstar mother.
Pink took to Instagram to share that she was on her way to Willow's school to bring her rice crispy treats for her 6th birthday and it turns out, Willow gets a little embarrassed. "It's weird that she's embarrassed by me," Pink wrote, before joking, "Not like I wear a lot of bizarre colorful fun makeup or anything like I'm pretending to be a pop star. Kids these days."
Pink shared that she's honest with her daughter, she prides herself on being a truth-teller. She's open about fairness and being a kind person. She also added, "you have to fight for your rights, and that sometimes girls aren't paid as much as boys for the same job, and girls aren't treated the same and that they have to work harder for everything."
Back in 2017, the family attended a women's event together. It's amazing that she's teaching her children the value of using your voice to fight for something meaningful such as equality. Moreover, if they can get out there speak about big issues as young children, imagine the great things they'll achieve as young adults. Go Pink!
Pink gets her parenting methods from her childhood in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She revealed that her dad Jim was very strict as he had a military history that made him the disciplinarian and she's grateful for it. The singer calls herself a "tough mama" but she also wants her kids to feel the love.
She's raising her little boy Jameson to embrace his sensitivity. Pink might have a tough exterior but she's a softie on the inside and sheds a tear very often. Something Willow has grown a little tired of. She said the other day, 'Mama, I promise to tell you more about my feelings if you promise to tell me less about yours,'" Pink shared.
It can get difficult to coordinate dinner times for the average family so we imagine that it gets tough for a global star who frequently goes on tour. Pink shared that her family makes it a point to have family dinners, twice a week while they're on tour. Obviously, quality time is extremely important to Pink.
While many celebrity moms watch their kids' diet with a magnifying glass, Pink is a bit more flexible when it comes to the sweet stuff. Her Instagram features a plethora of pics where the kids are stuffing their adorable faces with all sorts of candy treats.
The arrival of Jameson wasn't the only amazing thing that happened to the family, Willow also became a sister for the first time and Pink wanted to celebrate that. Sometimes it's difficult for the older siblings to become accustomed to sharing the spotlight so the singing sensation hosted a big sister party for her firstborn.
The party was decorated with balloons and there was a cake in honor of Willow's new journey of sisterhood. Props to Pink for making sure that her daughter transitioned into her new role as a big sister with grace and a great attitude.
Celebrities deal with a lot of negative comments on social media, it gets even tougher when people attack or criticize your motherhood. After receiving countless judgmental comments from mommy shamers under her children's pictures, Pink vowed to never post her kids on social media again. However, the proud mom couldn't resist sharing her kids.
She posted a snap of the kids and captioned it sarcastically to challenge all the naysayers. "It wasn't even filtered. What a waste of water. And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen. If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn't even there. I was..... gasp.... working!!!! In another country!" We love that she has a sense of humor about it.
In 2016, the pop star revealed that her daughter's favorite movie is The Martians. Willow then asked her mom if Matt Damon could come to her birthday party, even though Matt Damon didn't make an appearance, Pink made sure to get him there in some way. She got her daughter a Martian themed birthday cake topped with Matt Damon.
Being that Pink is a philanthropist who is also a UNICEF ambassador, she wants her children to know the value of helping those in need. Pink shared that Willow is well aware that not everyone is as privileged as she is and she's always willing to donate her toys to those who don't have any.
"We donate," Pink told People. "When one new toy comes in, eight go out. Willow loves being in charge of that. She loves looking around and going, 'Okay, I'm ready to give this one up, Mama.'"
Following in her mom's philanthropic footsteps, Willow made a lemonade stand to raise money to help save animals. So Pink stepped in to organize and they donated all the proceeds to a no-kill shelter. Awesome, isn't it?
Pink featured her daughter in the latest version of A Million Dreams for The Greatest Showman—Reimagined album. The two shared the sweetest moment singing together in the studio and we're pretty sure they will never forget the special moment.
Now that we've seen what an awesome mom Pink is, we want to know which rockstar mom rule you enjoyed the most? Be sure to leave a comment!
